Dr. James E. Messimer
Dr. Messimer attended East Tennessee State University majoring in pre- med. He attended Palmer College of Chiropractic where he graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1974. Dr. Messimer moved to Bristol in March of 1975 and has been active in the community since coming to Bristol . He has served on numerous boards of directors during his 31 years of practice.
He is a past district governor of the Lions of Virginia, District 24 F. He currently serves on the board of directors of: Bristol Regional Medical Center , SantaPal and is a on the Board of Trustees of Kentucky Christian University in Grayson , Kentucky , and NETWORKS Sullivan County Partnership. He served as President of the Tennessee Chiropractic Association from 1990-1992. He was awarded the Chiropractor of the Year award by the Tennessee Chiropractic Association in 1992. Dr. Messimer is in his second term as mayor of Bristol TN. He serves on many workers comp panels and is trained is impairment/disability injuries. He is married to Elizabeth Ann and has one son James along with his wife Joy have 2 sons and are expecting their third child in July 2006.
Dr. Michael D. Smith
Michael D. Smith, DC graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic in 2005. While attending school Dr. Smith received special training in Applied Kinesiology, Clinical Kinesiology, Activator, Gonstead, Diversified Technique, Thompson, and Pierce.
He is a graduate from Central High School and attended Northeast State College where he received an Associates of Sciences Degree. He also received a Bachelor’s of Sciences Degree from Excelsior College in Albany, New York.
Dr. Smith also received his Physio-Therapy Training and certification from New York Chiropractic College. He has also had specialized classes and training in extremity adjusting.
Dr. Smith is a member of the Bristol Host Lions Club and is a member of Blountville Christian Church.
Cindy EllerD.C.
Cindy Eller D.C. is a graduate of Sherman College of Chiropractic and is in the process of getting her Chiropractic license. She has over 15 years experience as a Chiropractic Assistant as well as being the Office Manager for many of D.C.’s she has worked with.
While attending Chiropractic school she received special training in many different techniques such as Chiropractic Biophysics, Activator Methods, Applied Kinesiology, Pierce work, Thompson, and Diversified. She has also received a vast variety of training in Holistic Medicine.
Cindy grew up locally in Elizabethton, TN where the majority of her family still lives. She is glad to have come back home to the mountains of Tennessee.
Regina King
Regina is a licensed chiropractic x-ray technician, licensed chiropractic therapy assistant, certified medical assistant with a specialty of Pediatric Emergency Rescue. She is certified in Functional Capacity Evaluation, Vertebral Axial Decompression Therapy, and Surface Electro myolgram. She is married with 4 sons, 9 grandchildren and has been employed at Messimer Chiropractic for 13 years.
